SAPGUI 7.40 Shortcut to activate debugger

Hi,

I've upgraded the GUI to 7.40 PL2.

The possibility to save passwords seem to be gone for good.

When trying to create a shortcut to activate the debugger (useful for modal dialog windows ) I noticed that I can no longer create shortcuts at all.

System pretents to create them but there are nowhere to be found on the filesystem (Windows 8.1). I assume there is something wrng with my configuration. Has anybody similar problems ?

Tnx, Michael

I found it. I apparently had to open it once and tell it whether it was for business client or gui and now it shows up with the right icon. I didn;t find it at first because it showed as a text.

Still missing the saved passwords.

Hello Michael,

I just checked with patch 3 (beta) and no password field exists there too.

I'll check to see if this is a new change to policy.

Hello Michael,

Refer to note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/146173

for how to re-enable the password field in the shortcut.
