Duplication of Forwarding Order Number

Hi All,

We have configured the Number Range for Forwarding Order in our System.

During analysis, it has been observed that Forwarding Order numbers are getting duplicated in the system after a regular interval.

As a new to SAP-TM, request your help in resloving this issue.

Hi Ritesh,

How about the below settings for number range? Did you check on these? If yes, please share your observations that would help in elaborating the issue.

Check if given number range for FWO has been assigned to any other OBJECT or to similar object

/SCMTMS/TQ

Check whether the number range buffer is activated in SNUM

Check SM56 to capture any fishy behaviour of number range buffer

Thanks a lot for the help.

As suggested by you, I checked the object you have suggested.

Please find the observations below:-

1. /SCMTMS/TQ:

1. Ranges Tab:
   • Number Length Domain = CHAR20
   • % Warning = 5
2. Customizing Tab:
   • Buffering = Main Memory Buffering
   • No. of Numbers in Buffer = 10

2.  SM56 output:

    

Please suggest the way ahead.

Hello, before answering the query can you let me know about these 2 queries.

1. Are you creating the FWO thru any preceding documents from ERP ?

or

2. Is your forwarding order coming from non SAP system ?

If 2 nd question is not the actual scenario of yours then you should see that the system is not storing the used FWO numbers in the data base. Hence the number is still showing as available to new FWO's and duplicating it.

My above statement is an assumption... If you can answer the 2 queries I can come back on remaining steps to validate.

Thanks a lot for the help.

To answer to your question, we are copying FWO from already created one and also faced the same issue while creating new one. During this case, the FWO number is getting duplicated.

Please suggest the further course of action.
