How to Load additional cost to trading product’s cost.

We are in Manufacturing as we as in trading business. We purchase finished products from our vendor put our brand and pack in wooden box and sale the product. There is no BOM defined for such product now we want to load the additional cost of wooden boxes to product. How to implement this in SAP Business One .

Hi,

It's easily manageable within SAP B1.

All you need to create sales bill of material.

and tick hide BOM component in print outs.

Now you need to enter your sales item in sales order and component of sales bill of material auto reduced and costing will be accurate.

So your bill of material like your own product = 1 and component 1 is wooden box and component 2 is your product purchased from your supplier.

Depending on if you want to have your final product in inventory. If you do need to track inventory for final product, you will have to use Production Bill of Material.

Otherwise, Assembly Bill of Material is enough.

Just remember, only Inventory Item can have Production Bill of Material. And Only inventory item has Inventory cost.
