Hello All,
I would like to understand below scenario in System.
Consumption Mode: 2 (Bwd Cons/Fwd Cons)
Fwd Consumption: 7 days
and I would to test different values of Fwd Consmptions: 0,7,15 And 30 Days.
How the Total Demand changes? if Demand: 100 and Sales order: 100.
will the total demand 200 in all cases?(fwd cons = 0,7,15,30 days) We execute Optimizer.
Need your help to understand
Regards,
Pravin Tikar
Hi Pravin
the Fwd consumption parameter mainly plays role with FCST consumption. i.e. your unconsumed FCST which is appearing in the SNP planning book will be changed accordingly. Depending on value i.e. in your case FWD consumption is 15 days , then sales order will consume the FCST for the FCST which is available with in next 15 days and create your unconsumed FCST key figure.
According to available unconsumed FCST, your total demand will get calculated
i.e. unconsumed FCST+sales order = Total demand.
Did I am able to understand your question properly and my answer help?
Thanks

Hi Pravin
depends when exactly you have sales order in May.
but roughly for 30 days scenario, May fcst of 150 will get consumed. If you sales order is on 1st May then you are unable to reach for June FCST so June FCST should remain same. In case sales order is mid of May the 50 Qty FCST from June will also get consumed.
In case of 45 days scenario, May FCST will get consumed completed + 50 Qty FCST from June.
You can always check the FCST consumption details in /SAPAPO/RRP3 - Product View in Forecast tab.

Hi
Looks like your FCST in APR is not getting consumed all.
is it possible for you to check on which day FCST is sitting in APR month.
Could you please check if APR fcst is sitting before 15 APR. As I said did you already checked the FCST consumption details in /SAPAPO/RRP3 - Product View in Forecast tab.
Please also check planning Strategy configuration details from you side

Hi Pravin,
First of all you need to check what is your planning strategy. Not all the planning strategies consume the forecast when you enter a sales order.
Now in the case your planning strategy does it (for example if you are using strategy 40), then note that after changing the consumption mode and consumption periors, you will need to create a new sales order to see how the forecast is consumed. If the sales order was created before the modification of the consumption mode and periods took place, then your changes will not be takebn into account during the consumption.
Please read this article for a better understanding:
