/SDF/MON_START Doubt

Hi !

We wish to schedule /SDF/MON on a periodic basis.

When I create a variant for say 24 hours in /SDF/MON_START, the 2 jobs (Watchdog & the Mon job) run fine for that time period.

After that time period, the job fails saying the time period is in the the past (something to that extent).

How do we use the variant to our advantage so that we can have it run without failing.

Please help advise...I'm sure I'm missing out on something here

Also; if I set the delete after date to a certain date in the variant, will I still need to schedule the Reorg job (/SDF/MON_REORG) ?

Hi Saba,

No variant needs to be created for the same.

Steps:

1. Execute  report " /SDF/MON " in transaction SE38 / SA38

2. Click on "Schedule New Monitoring" button.

3. In the next screen give your inputs & press Execute (F8)

It will create two jobs

"/SDF/MON_SCHEDULE" (Job Frequency : Daily)

"/SDF/MON_WATCHDOG" (Job Frequency : As mentioned the field <Interval in Seconds> in step 3

We normally keep for 45 days. Its depends on you requirement
