Error while generating HTML

Hi,

I have a design studio application I want to share publicly on BI Launch Pad for my company. The dashboard/application made in design studio works fine locally and on BI Platform public folder (through my login credentials).

However, when other people from the company try to view this DS application, it throws "Error while generating HTML"

The root cause is:

The initial exception which caused the request to fail was:

Index: 0, Size: 0

Any clue why such a thing might be happening?

Hi Sakshi,

It might be due to absence of supporting files like css, images or sap.dir in the same folder of the report. Copy the files and re-point those files path in the report

Hi - do these other users have the same access as you?  Are they using the same browser?

Yes, they use the same browsers, and they have tried in other browsers as well.

They also have same access/privileges as I do.

What version of BI4x/patch?

Looks like this error has been shown before on older versions of the BI Platform - see

Its Design Studio 1.4 Patch 2 and BIP Design Studio add on patch 2 1.4

What version of BI4?  BI4.1 SP05 or?

Sorry, its BIP 4.1 Support Pack 5 Patch 2

I cannot find anything else that may be causing this issue; if no one else replies I recommend opening a ticket with SAP Support.  My only other recommendation is to go up to BI4.1 SP05 patch 3

This is a wild guess but could this note, released today, apply to your situation?  See http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2154860

I don't think so, since the issue is that even administrators with full access can't open the design studio application. Though they can log on to BI Launch Pad

We also upgraded to BI4.1 SP05 Patch 4, but the problem still persists.

I recommend asking your BI admin to look at the logs on the platform.
