XML Message - Create vs Change Indicator

Hi Experts,

Good day!

My question is how a "Create" XML and "Change" XML that is sent to ECC from SNC can be differentiated from each other.

I am asking this because we have a custom interface that uses standard XML message "QualityIssueNotificationSUITENotification_Out" but have two separate IDOC structures in ECC, one for Create and one for Change. SAP PI middleware needs the "Change" indicator to point the XML to the Change IDOC structure in ECC.

Comparing the two kinds of XMLs, I thought it was the <ActionCode> segment, but for both XML messages, they have the value of "02".

Appreciate your input on my inquiry.

Thanks!

Hello,

Usually it is the action code (1- create, 2-change, 3- cancel).

Best regards,

Nuane

I am working with Raf and saw this when searching for something else. If anyone else has this issue,  we used the outbound mapping BADI (interface/method /SCA/IF_EX_BIF_O_QINSUITENOT~BEFORE_CONVERSION) and checked the values in the ODM tables to see if it was published. If it wasn't published, we overwrote  the value in the action code.
