Getting error while creating an SEGW proj

Hello Experts,

I am getting an error while creating an SEGW project. When i click on "Local Object", i am getting below pop-up.

SAP system has status 'not modifiable' Choose 'Display object' or 'Cancel'

When i click on "Display Object" icon, it says "Action canceled by user." 

I was able to create new projects till last week. Could be an issue with roles/authorizations?  I searched other threads but couldnt get proper solution. Any clue?

Hi JK,

This seems as client is not open for modification go to

1) In SE03, administration-->setsystemchange option

Use the global setting to specify whether Repository objects and cross-client Customizing are modifiable or not.

2) Goto transaction SCC4. This lists clients’ overview as below:

The Gateway system status is not modifiable, here basis people will help to set the system status as Modifiable.

Hi Jitendra,

I assume this is pretty much authorization access issue. Did you get a chance to look at Tcode SU53 immediately after you encountered the error ? This might give some insights in identifying the cause. Thanks
