Transport of projects in Solution Manager

Hello dear experts,

I hope somebody can help me with the following problem:

I followed the instructions of SAP how to transport projects between systems:

"

  1. 1.  Select the project in the project overview.
  2. 2.  Choose Transport Project or Project Transport.
  3. 3.  Specify the transport scope in the following dialog box. To transport the project without project documentation, deselect the With Notes indicator. The project documentation is transported by default.
  4. 4.  Specify a transport request or create a new one.
  5. 5.  Confirm your entries.

"

So first I created a new transport request (transport of copies) in transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN:

When I try to release this transport request in SE01 it will be cancelled:

Error log:

The error log isn't really usefull for me and I don't find a snote for it.

Maybe somebody else was dealing the same problems or knows a better way to transport projects between SolMan systems.

Thanks a lot and greetings from Germany

Hi Mr.Klase,

Do you have lot many documents in Project Documentation tab in SOLAR01 for the project you want to transfer? If so, are they all in released status?

Thanks,

Vivek

Hi Mr. Hegde,

thank you for the quick answer.

The tab should be empty because after I tried to transport a real project (and it didn't work) I created this test project without doing anything in SOLAR01:

That's one of the reasons why this error message is confusing me so much.

Greetings

Martin

Hi,

Can you check below

1090842 - Composite note: Transport across several releases;

556734  - FAQ Transport: Setup and further information

Check the below link

Also check the below note

1729043 – Message 705: SAPKPROTP Error: Could not open Transport File for reading

You may need to check the permissions at OS level (777).
