Dear Experts,

We have a following requirement:

1. Subcontracting RM stock has been sent to Vendor with the movement type 541(O) from Plant X.
2. In some cases, Vendor used to send back the RM stock to the other plant Y.

For the aforementioned second scenario, I would like to transfer the Subcontracting RM Stock (Movement type O) to the different plant Y. How to capture this scenario.

In STO delivery, is there a way to change the movement type 641 to the new movement type which transfers stock from Subcontracting RM Stock (Movement type O) to in transit stock. Kindly help.

Hi,

You can transfer this Subcontractor Stock from x to y plant using 301 O movement type and now it will show the stock in your vendor account (SC). So you can use MB1B and movement type 542 to transfer this vendor stock to your own stock.

No. 641 movement type does not support special stock O.

By the way, there are little GAP in your business process. Why you want to use mix process (Subcontracting + Stock transport order) ?

Is the material will be same after vendor send you back ? Do you want to give any changes to vendor ?

If no, then just reverse the 541 movement type, and use the plant to plant transfer posting by using 301 movement type (or do a normal STO process).

If yes, then create a subcontracting PO, and give the component from plant X and receive the material in plant Y.
