How to create Custom Data element in SAP MDG?

Hi ,

I am new to the SAP MDG. I wanted to define my own Data element in MDG and want to Assign it to Custom Entity.

Please share your guidance to make it possible.

If you are using stanalone deployment option then please import new data element into target ECC system also.

Hi Sanjay,

I am not deploying any Standalone configuration.

I have simply created One Custom data model suppose Employee under that i have created one Entity type - Emp_reference  and while creating this i want to assign my own Data element like EMPREF.

So before assigning EMPREF into Emp_reference  i have required to create EMPREF somewhere in ECC table's or internally . so that i could call it .exactly what steps and Process i have to follow.

Hello Mukesh,

to get data element in data model, you need to create your own Z data element and domain means what is the field(char, numeric) and and field lenght then same Z data element can be assigned to data model

check in google you will get lots of documents,

You can create them in SE11 and call it back during the entity creation,under data element.
