SAPUI5 applications on PI or MII ?

Dear Expert's,

We are trying to have new UI5 applications and we need to decide to go with either SAP PI or SAP MII. We have PI version 7.31

Is it possible to have UI5 stack on PI system ? ie, to run UI5 applications on top of PI system instead of ECC ? Have anyone tried it ? Because, in our business environment, PI system is loaded less when compared to ECC.

Or, is it recommended to have applications running on ECC and communicate to third party software's through PI ?

To my knowledge, MII already has facility to interact with third party software or database's.

Is it possible to have either of the below installed in PI system ?

SAP NetWeaver 7.0. 7.01, 7.02, or 7.31

SAP NetWeaver AS for Java
