Hi Ashish,

I hope a person who has done the kernel upgrade can do the finding for system not starting.

Contact the person who has done this , someone fromm basis team.

If you want to do yoursefl, Please check the work dir and dev_disp,dev_w0 log..

Hi Asish,

If SAP system is down , you will not be able to use any tcode .

and if you want to check work dir (can also be access from al11 if system is up ), you need os level access to server and explore it.

Hi Asish,

You can go to drive where your system installed

/usr/sap/<sid>/DVEMGXX/work

inside work dir , please check dev_disp, dev_w0 etc sapstart  log for information.

Hello Ashish,

If the system is down and you are running out of time(downtime); the quick solution is revert to the old kernel.

Please ask your basis admin to do that.

Hello ashish,

At the work folder of the instance (/usr/sap/<sid>/DVEMGXX/work), can you see "dev_disp" file being updated after the failed start attempt?

If so, please paste the content here.

Cheers,
Ian.
