CRM Desktop Connection does it support integration with Outlook in Office 365?
All of the documentation refers to supported MS Outlook versions: 2007, 2010, 2013. Wondering if there is a roadmap to support Outlook in Office 365? We are getting a number of questions related to the support for Outlook in Office 365.
office 365 has 2 deployment options either using the web access e.g. for Outlook or a locally installed client. As long as a locally installed Outlook client is used the Desktop Connection scenario is working with an Exchange 365 server.
Desktop Connection in conjunction with OutlookWeb Access (OWA), meaning accessing Outlook features with a simple URL, is not supported.
