Hi,
It seems that system selects the certifcate profile according to the validity period in profile assignment. I would like the system to select the profile according to the date when inspection was carried out for a certain batch.
For example, we create a new certificate profile with version 2 where the results and specification origins are "multiple specification, production chain". This new profile will be assigned to a material with valid on date 1.5.2015. Also that is the key date when all inspection plan changes will be affected (multiple specification functionality is taken into use). We have on stock lot of bulk batches, which were inspected without multiple specifications. When we will print CoA after May 1st, system selects the certificate profile with version 2 although the inspection lots of bulk batches do not contain the necessary information.
How can we select the right profile according to the inspection date of bulk batch instead of profile assignment validity date? Certificate profile version 1 would be used for all batches analyzed before 1.5.2015 and version 2 used for all batches analyzed from 1.5.2015 onwards. I appreciate all your comments.
Br,
Sakari
You would have to use a user exit to influence the profile selected.
Look at:
QC100003 QM certificates: Before and after cert. profile determi
Another option might be, rather then changing the proifle selected, to look at influencing what inspection lots are used:
QCPA0001 Certificates: Assign control data of certif. profile ch
QCPA0002 Certs: Criteria restriction insp.lot/ptl lot selection
Difficult to say exactly what you should do without having fairly intimate knowledge of your specific implementation.
