Hello,

During production monitoring the mails in SOST transaction were in waiting Status.

Kindly suggest me how to administer the cause of it and how to trace it.

Regards,

Akshay

Thanks all of you for your help.

I got the reason.

Actually the background job which sends emails is run under a user.In my case it was BC-BATCH(user).It was in the lock entry(sm12) when mails were in waiting status.

Hello All,

Please see the attachment.

As per the screen shot attached job "SAPCONNECT INT SEND 2" is the background job to send the mails and the user is BC-BATCH.

This user was in sm12(selected lock entry) on 6th april.and these mails were in waiting status from 6th april to 7th april.

these mails might not be sent due to this lock entry???

Kindly suggest.

Akshay

On t-code SCOT, double click on SMTP, then a new window will appear where you enter parameters for the SMTP relay server, like TCP port.

Hi Akshay,

Yes, there is one or more background jobs that actually send the emails.

You can see them on T-CODE "SCOT", then menu "Settings" and "Send Jobs".
