Maximum partial deliveries for STO

Hi  Everyone

I 'm  trying to limit the  creation of  number of partial deliveries to an STO

I updated  maximum number of  deliveries 2 to the customer( sold to )  and  blank on partial  deliveries per item on the shipping tag at the customer master record . but the  system let me to created 4 partial deliveries.

as I looked at the partial deliveries field on the  delivery tab of the STO , I can see that it has only 3 choices : Blank, A, B 

Can anyone  help me please ?

With which Account Group, you have extended the customer?  If I remember correctly, you will have this issue if the customer has not been extended with Account Group 0001.  Try creating with 0001.   Five years back, I gave solution in one of the projects.
