Wave without Outbound delivery reference

Former Member

Dear Gurus,

I need to trigger wave during my process.

Process steps are as below :

1. Bin to Bin transfer will be triggered from Storage type ST-A to

   Storage type ST-B

2. Transfer of the Stock should happen with respect to the Wave.

3. Is it possible to trigger the wave creation for Bin to Bin transfer?/or for replenishment ?

----------------------------------------

There is another requirement which can be described as below:

1. Bin to Bin transfer will be triggered from Storage type ST-A to

   Storage type ST-B

2. Stock will be moved to Storage type ST-B.

3. Once Stock is available in Storage type ST-B , trigger a wave generation.

Can we create wave without any reference.

4. Wave generation will have following output:

a.Create picking task from Storage type ST-B for the moved stock(From ST-A)

b.Create Pick HU for moved Stock (From ST-A)

c.Create HU warehouse task for moving HU from its work center to

   Storage type ST-B.

Thanks,

Abhishek

Please suggest if we can achieve the above results without any wave reference.

Hi,

other then Sathish I would say that a wave creation for a bin-to-bin transfer is possible.

What you need to have is a warehouse request. A warehouse request for which you can assign a wave determination procedure can be from the document category PDO (Outbound delivery order), SPC (Posting Change) or WMR (Internal Stock Transfer).

"Is it possible to trigger the wave creation for Bin to Bin transfer?/or for replenishment ?"

You need to create a warehouse request, not a warehouse task for these cases.

"3. Once Stock is available in Storage type ST-B , trigger a wave generation.

Can we create wave without any reference."

That I say I not possible. A wave item needs to be in a warehouse request. Without reference, this does not work.

Hi Juergen ,

Thanks for the reply. It will certainly help.

Please suggest if following is possible in EWM and does not have any impact on ERP system :

1. On click of a button create ODO

2. Assign multiple components to this ODO

3. Assign Wave and release the wave

4. Once task is created and confirmed .

5. Should be able to mark the ODO for deletion

6. Delete the ODO/OD in EWM

During all these steps no communication should happen to ERP.

Thanks,

Abhishek

Dear Juergen ,

I want to trigger the cartonization planning for the components. These components i am moving from one bin to another Bin.

Cartonization planning does not support without Outbound delivery. I tried to run the cartonization planning for Internal stock transfer document but it is not working.

Hope it clarifies the scenario.

Please let me know in case you need more clarification from my side.

Thanks,

Abhishek

Hello Abhishek,

rocess steps are as below :

1. Bin to Bin transfer will be triggered from Storage type ST-A to

   Storage type ST-B

2. Transfer of the Stock should happen with respect to the Wave.

3. Is it possible to trigger the wave creation for Bin to Bin transfer?/or for replenishment ?

Ans: There is no Wave concept for Bin-to-Bin Transfer. That is for sure.

But, you can create a Stock Transfer Request using Tcode:  /SCWM/IM_ST - Maintain Internal Stock Transfer . Then, Assign these to a Wave to plan your activities.
