Unable to launch Workbench issue

Former Member

Hello Experts,

Problem Statement:

I am facing issue while opening workbench (Unable to launch Workbench).

The exception thrown is as below :

"com.sun.deploy.net.JARSigningException: Found unsigned entry in resource: http://<server>:<port>/XMII/CMSLogicEditor/xalan.jar"

Scenario: SAP MII 14.0 SP5 Patch 7(last updated July8,2014)

Client system Java version: 7 update 45.

Are there any java dependency or setting changes required?

Background information:

Recently I have uploaded and deployed PDF and fop jar files under custom action block.

Then deleted back pdf-fop custom action block(which had xalan.jar) and deployed all.

Now when I try to open my workbench, I am getting exception error as mentioned above.

I even tried it after clearing temporary files from Java Control panel and clearing Internet Explorer cache.

I doubt that pdf-fop custom action block was not properly deleted by MII so it is causing this issue. If it is so, pls help me in resolving this issue.

In my temporary java resource files(control panel-> Java-> General-> Temporary Files-> View ), I see xalan & serializer jar updated date as my deployment date. I am not sure if has anything to do with this.

Another SCN thread that might be related to custom action block deletion issue:

Hello Minakshi,

Have you tried to uncheck the Java Temporary internet files setting "Keep temporary files on my computer" ? If not, please uncheck this flag for test pursposes.

After that, re-open workbench to check error mentioned.

This will not make system not use stored java files anymore, so we can define if they are related to this issue.

Please let us know the results.

Hello Raphael,

I made your suggested changes and tried opening workbench again. But same error persists.

Pasting screenshots for your reference:

Java Settings:

Error:

I am confused because this jar is getting downloaded whereas I have already deleted the custom action jar file containing this jar.

Please help in any other possible way.

Hi Minakshi,

I would suggest moving to update 72 for your machine.

Also, modify the advanced settings to match below.

You can try this setting with your current version as well, but I recommend moving to 72.

Hi Minakshi,

Try putting all the settings in prompt mode. You would see some warning and a prompt whether to go ahead, say yes in it.

Hello Swaroop,

Sorry for such a delay in response, as I was busy with some other priority work. I am not sure how to change settings using prompt mode. Please guide me on same line..

Hi Minakshi,

I mean set all the properties in JRE settings to Prompt only mode. See if you get some warnings, if you do, accept and say run(do not block anything).

Thanks and Regards,

Swaroop
