I am using Ms SQL Server 8.0 as the database for SAP.
I the log file size is large even after shrinking.
Please let me know whetehr deleting the log file directly from backend affect my system
Since i dont want to see the logs. Can i delete it directly.
you should define your backup strategy to run the log backup regularly to make the log file size shrinked again.

If you're talking about production I would recommend you to copy the log to another location and keep it for at least 30 days. Then you can delete it

deleting log files donot effect the SAP system but i prefer archive these logs and save in safe location if this is a production system
