Switch Universe

Hi Folks,

Did anyone find any alternative to switching universes for dashboards?

For Web Intelligence, there is a provision but it is not possible to do in Dashboards.

Apart from creating your query from the scratch with new universe, if anybody has tried any workaround then please let me know.

Not exactly the same but could be workable.

Hi Tejas,

1- If your new Universe has some Business Logic changes but same number of columns with same column names then save your New Universe with Old name and you don't have any need to edit or change Query in Dashboard.

2- If you have added some new columns in your existing Universe then save this one, you have to only edit your Query in Dashboard to bind these new columns as per your requirement.

3- If you want to bind a New Universe for existing Query in Dashboard, this is not possible. You have to create a new Query and bind new Universe and bind its columns again as per your requirement.
