Function Module to print QM Notification

Dear friends,

Is there any function module or BAPI to get QM Notification number as input and print it in back ground?

We have a requirement to get the Notification in PDF format. If it is printed, we will get that SPOOL request number and convert it to PDF with another function module.

Or we have to go with BDC to QM03 for this requirement?

Please suggest.

Hi Ravi,

Thought of checking with you one more point here. Have you already activated Notification printing config nodes using the below path?

Quality Management => Quality Notifications => Notification Processing => Print Control => Define Shop Papers, Forms, Print Programs =>

a) Define Shop Papers - Please use the right program, forms to get your notification details printed.

b) Assign Shop Papers to Notification Type - Please assign your shop floor paper to the notification type against which you are willing to print the notification.

Execute QM02/QM03, go to menu bar select Notification => Print => Notification => Select shop floor papers. Form this list dropdown pop-up, select the appropriate shop floor paper, and create a spool or print it as PDF.

Hi Ravi,

You can use the standard SAP program RSTXPDFT4 to convert spool numbers into PDF format. This process will uncomplicated your requirement and will help you achieve a faster turn-around time.
