Hi

I have to prepare one system for future hard load.

Lots of users, lots of dialog processes.

What should I tune?

I mean, what buffers should I prepare?

export/import, CUA, table buffer....

thanks

Mario

Hi,

Well you should have enough space and also the memory should be high. The swap space/ virtual memory should be well set.

The you can set your required parameters.

Hi Mario.

I would suggest that you should ensure that you have sufficient hardware resources to handle the high workload. If you tune your parameters without having the resources, you might get in trouble. What is your current hardware, and what is the number of current and future users?

Thanks both, but it is not a hardware issue.

there is hardware enough

I mean: a lots of users are going to enter, what buffers should I tune, and in fact of what, I mean I know that I have to increase the CUA buffer becase lots of them are dialog users, but what about all the buffers in general, should I prepare increasing its size....... twice for example?

or should I wait until they enter and then act depending of the situation?

I have increased the oracle buffer, to get ready, but an advise of what is a well-big-tuned system would be helpful.

thanks.
