SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF without SAP NW Portal

   Dear all,

We have standard ALV report in ABAP Webdynpro. When we try to print the ALV Report it gives error: Communication Failure: RFC destination SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF does not exist. For more detailed information, see SAP Note 1413938/

I have ADS on AS Java, but i have not installd SAP NW Portal. Can i customize according note 1413938 without SAP NW portal? Only AS JAVA with ADS.

Hi Albert, Hope you are doing good. Nice to hear from you again. Of course a PORTAL usage type is not needed to implement note 1413938. The J2EE should have the ADSSAP SCA deployed and that should be enough.
