Output OMR Code on Smartforms

Hello,

how is the procedure to print in smartform  OMR Code for enveloping machines?

Is there any procedure for this kind of barcode?

Which SAP barcode type provide the OMR Code output?

How can I find documentation about this topic?

Hello,

The OMR code will be not supported by the new barcode technology, you have to check the method 1 or 4 from SAP note 1557674.

Hi,

an OMR code is not a barcode as stated by Florian, these are typically short horizontal lines (a binary code?) which are printed near the left physical edge of the sheet. Yes, in Smart Forms it should be simple to define a window and add corresponding logic to place the lines (via simple characters like a hyphen or so) on every page but the real challenge will be to get them to print so close to the edge of the paper. At least in PCL5 I would not know a way how to do this.

A OMR-Code isn't a Barcode or something like that. You need to create your own logic, because a lot of envelope-machines work in different ways.

I hand over the clue, that you can just create a window(s) and handle it while processing your form.

It is easier to use in Smartforms than in Sapscript.
