Hello All,

I´m set up SAP IDM 8.0 connecting systems and I´ve noted that the constant to fill password are blocked for any system type(See the picture below).I'm just getting in connecting systems this way:

1- Create a new system.

2- Export

3- Fill de constant password (Notepad)

4- Import the csv file.

Is this correct or there is an error here?

Thanks for helping!!!

Hi Rafael,

Can you tell me which patch are you running?

I cannot reporduce the same behaviour.

Usually you should not edit passwords in notepad like that. You can check that even when you already had a passowrd and export the file the password is not visible. It is the keys file that does the magic here and password should be set only trough the UI. every other interfierence should not be working.

Hi Todor.

We are running Patch 3 in NW  AS JAVA 7.40. Look the picture, please.

The support package on the SMP appears like:

NW IDM 8.0 UIS FOR NW 7.30

Could be the Netweaver´s version?

Thankss

Hi Rafa,

It is ok NW 7.30 is supported.

Maybe the way you modify it? Why do you want to edit it in csv? this is quite strange.

I´m using the csv because the field is blocked for me according the picture above.  When I create a new repository the field already goes blocked  and filled.

Hello Rafa,

Something that helped other people with the same problem.

Could you check whether the keys.ini file is maintained properly

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwidmic_80/helpdata/en/0e/fc4780130e462bb89bd959275be586/content.htm?fra...

and

            http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwidmic_80/helpdata/en/ea/37d41bc33041bca912b616f193bdfb/content.htm?fra...

As soon as the above configuration is done the JMX Layer properties should also be set

              http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwidmic_80/helpdata/en/39/d2e1f6108f4188888e5202f550e9e2/frameset.htm

the value for the com.sap.idm.jmx.crypt.keyfile property should be the full path to the keys.ini file. For example: <IdM install directory>\Identity Center\KEY\Keys.ini.

And finally restart the JMX application.

Hope these hints will help you enable editing of the passwords.

Yours, Pacho
