SE16 is different in Quality and Production Systems

Hi All,

I have concern that  the format of SE16 in Prouction System is different, It should be in the same format as Quality. Here in this case what are the things that we need to consider? Please let me know. When hit T code SE16 the screen seems to be the same.

Please let me know what we need to check here.

Hi,

Only solution is to compare total number of entries into the table,if same then no need to worry.

SP levels are same for both system and screen also appear to be the same but when I hit the T code and when I go for drop down for table name, it was showing different table names.I feel this might be the concern.If this was the case is there any way to get this fix. Please suggest on this .

Hi Satya,

Hope you are checking for the same table in QA & Prod.

Once you executed for the table : TSTCA, try to get the number entries under this table. and similarly compare the same with Prod.

Hello Satya,

This is perfectly normal. You are hitting F4 to get a list of values and the list you are seeing is the history of objects you have selected in the past. So this can be different between PRD and QA.

Test it for yourself.

/nSE16

Enter: TSTC* and hit F4

Select: TSTCV (double click and hit ENTER)

Run SE16 again and this time only hit F4. You will see TSTCV in your list now.

Sorry, that doesn't make any sense.

SE16 is a data browser, used to view the contents of a table at SAP level.

If you know a table name just give the table name -> table contents -> F8.

If you doesn't, then just give * to view all the tables.

and yes , that list is coming from the (gui)history.
