Info Object Catalog Transport issue

Hi Experts,

we have an issue with Infoobject catalog while transporting into QA.

first we have transported all the objects like IOBJS, TARGETS,ODS,DATASOURCES,TRANSFERMATIONS,DTPS

expert Infoobject catalog and Application component.

now while trying to transport the Infoobject catalog we are getting an error while releasing the sub task in transport request.

it saying some infoobjects need to for that catalog.

but we are not using those objects in BW dev and not available in the system also.

since we might have created those iobjs under that catalog and deleted for not being used.

still it showing those objects needed for catalog.

please help on this issue.

Hi Rajesh,

I believe Infoobject catalog needs to be transported first than the Infoobjects. would you try to collect again this infoobject catalog in a separate request and import it, later re-import the infoobjects.

thanks for the post,

i was trying to collect the same again in separate request, but still the old objects which were created and later deleted  under that catalog is showing.

example :- under ZCATLOG created ZCUSTOMER and later deleted that ZCUSTOMER.

                now while trying to collect and release the ZCATLOG it showing ZCUSTOMER needed for ZCATLOG.

but we don't have that object available in BW.

your right we have to follow the dependencies while transporting, and i knew it

but due to the higher team suggestions did that transport.

Now the issue is cleared by transporting catlog along with few infoobjects.

Hi,

You need to follow certain sequence of transporting bw objects.

other wise you mess up with transport failures like above.

Without info object/catalogs/ how you transported DSO/cube?

From google search find the useful document and follow the sequence.

Use search key as "Step by step procedure to transport SAP BI/BW Objects".
