blank screen and time out message when connecting to EC2 via Putty

I was able to successfully launch Hana SP09 library instance to EC2 and it is running
however when I am trying to connect to the instance via putty (the only option for this solution), the Putty screen gets blank and errors "connection time out", there is no even log in request

Hi Yulia,

Please go to cmd and ping the server on which hana is running.

If ping is not working it means there is network issue.

You need to ask network admin for same.

Can you check in your security group if you had open the necessary port for SSH.
