SPP- STOCKING_DESTOCKING SERVICES

Hi

When we execute, Stocking De stocking services, we are facing one issue.

Parts which are not having any history, or less, not to qualify as ST, but are in ST……since they are entry location in BOD.

Concern, these products are getting into Forecast services, actually they are not required

I give below the log details of a  product.

This product when we execute stocking/de stocking services, suggests NS for all the locations, but suggesting ST for the entry locations of the BOD.

Since this is ST, they are qualifying for forecast and gets forecasted.  But this forecast is not required, unnecessarily, these forecasts are going as schedule lines and thus increasing inventory. 

LOG details.

1. Destock. decis. serv. is deciding destocking for product: B0Y17717, location 5500
2. Destock. dec. service: product B0Y17717 no longer to be stored at location 5500

The product is already stored at location 5509

1. Destock. decis. serv. is deciding destocking for product: B0Y17717, location 5509
2. Prod. B0Y17717: 5509 is last stockholding location below entry location
3. Destock. decis. serv. is deciding destocking for product: B0Y17717, location 5514

  Prod. B0Y17717: 5514 is last stockholding location below entry location

5514 & 5500 are the entry locations for this Product.

Request some suggestion on how to go about this further

Hi Kannan,

I could not able to get your expectation.

You want the part to be destocked and the services are suggesting the same ( looking at your logs).

No where your log is saying the part to be stocked.

Could you please explain in detail.

For new products.

Phase in forecasting will be done soon after your Prod Start Date, PI forecast will copy of the histories from group of products which are similar in nature.

Then using this forecast further planning will happen.

In standard, For brand new product you need to set the RI as SN, so when you do the First GR (above threshold maintained in your config) system will turn them SN--> ST.

Why you would want a product to be Destocked across all location, so you wont get orders for these products at any time ?.

If you still want it to be eliminated from further Stocking / Destocking services, try any one of these.

1. Exclusion Reasons. Prod Master

2. Enable lock for Stocking / Destocking. Prod Master.

3. Refine your Stocking / Destocking decision tables. Config

4. Eliminate these parts from forecast selection profile. (you can use Prod Groups if needed)

Your question:

Ans:

the log says:

  Prod. B0Y17717: 5514 is last stockholding location below entry location

Since the entry location of the BOD is 5514, system is  making the replenishment indicator as ST.

IF THE SAME HISTORY PREVAILS IN OTHER LOCATIONS, SYSTEM SUGGESTS NS,

the issue is:

If you make this product/location as NS, based on the history, your BI FLOW will not work, it will  throw an error, while transferring data from ECC, R3 to APO BI 9ADEMAND cubes,.

This is the issue

Hope to eliminate this issue SAP is not allowing NS in these above scenorios: but this is giving issue in forecasting.
