Login to SAP JAM from external web

Hi experts,

I'm starting to work with SAP JAM and I'm looking for a way to gain acces directly to JAM from a company web page through a log in module.  The only way I know to acces JAM is through SuccesFactors home page.

Hope you can help me with this

Thanks,

Jose

Hi Jose,

If I understand you correctly you want to enable single sign-on to SAP Jam from a company web page.

The SAP Jam Admin Guide (http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/Jam14/en/sap_jam_admin_guide.pdf) in Section 1.7 explains SSO and Deep Linking.

Hi Rüdiger! Thanks for your reply!

Looks like that's what I need, non the less that guide says what it is but not how to do it, by any chance you know how?

What I have right now its a link to the success factors home page where we provide our information and then once we are in we have to select the JAM option to enter, I need to change that, what I need to do it's provide that information on the company web page and then gain access to JAM.

I'm reading about what you gave me and I encounter with this:

"SAP SSO consists of the following components:

● Secure Login

● Password Manager

● Identity Federation

● Extension for Kerberos Constrained Delegation

● One-Time Password Authentication

● Access Policies"

¿I need to configure all of those to do that access and redirectioning linking? or I'll be doing extra work

Thanks in advance,

Jose

Hi Jose,

If it is acceptable that the user is entering user name and password you could use a link like https://performancemanager5.successfactors.eu/sf/jam?bplte_company=XXX (where XXX has to be replaced with your company ID).

If you want to enable SSO you will need to get in touch with SFSF consulting.

Hi, I've got same problem with you. Can you share how you solve the problem?

I have to launch SAP Jam in my company as soon as possible, but with that problem, the users will be reluctant to open SAP Jam.

Really appreciate your help if u have solved the problem. Thanks?

Hi Esther,

I think you are looking for "deep links" to SAP Jam. In order to set up such deep links which take a user from an external application or portal directly into SAP Jam you have to set up single-sign-on (SSO) for the SuccessFactors Foundation (aka BizX) first.

In order to set up SSO we would recommend to contact your implementation partner to help with the setup. They know how set this up in alignment with your corporate network administration team and SuccessFactors support. Generally it's just a matter of a few days.

You can find some more information about "deep links" and SSO in the support knowledge base e.g. at https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2089418/0/E Just login with a support admin account at http://support.sap.com an search for SSO.

Hope this helps,

Ingo
