Problems Mops EHP ERP EHP7 Abap&Java

Dear Colleagues,

our HR System exists of an abap System and a Java Portal.

we will upgrade this HR ERP Systems from 702 (EHP5) to EHP7.

If I put both system in the mops, the systems just generates the queue for the j2ee System but not for the Abap System.

Both Systems are created in one Solution an crated on the solman without any error.

Do I have to do the mops seperate for each System, or is there any known issue.

Because as I know in the old days 😉 it was possible to do both in one transaction...

Any advise would we very helpfull and it will be rewardet with poinst 😉

the Solman is: 702SP14 / SMT 710 SP11

the last version of solman note is implemented: Note '0001933506' is up-to-date

Some Screenshots from the mops transaction:

Hi Rahul,

thanks, for your answer.

But I'am not able to do this, did you know the reason for that behavior.

When I select both systems, mopz just upgrades the Java Systems and leave the abap system untouched on the old level.

Perhaps you did not select any ABAP technical usages?

Are the systems connected together? Is it a Java Portal with the ABAP ERP backend? In this case, you could enter the Java as a Java technical system of the system TD1. Then, you select in Maintenance Optimizer only TD1 as system ID, and TJ1 will be included.

If the two systems are independant of each other, it makes no sense for me to select them together in a Maintenance Optimizer transaction.

Hi Miguel,

yes this solved my issue with mopz.

Yes it is a Java Portal with Abap Backend.

I addet the J2ee Systems as a technical productsystem to the abap system.

Selected then just the abap system in mopz, worked 😉 fine.

-> but the thing is, bevore I updatet the main solman note, it was possible to it the other way....

Hello Julius

Can you please check once if all ABAP components are updated in SMSY properly?

Also please try to generate stack file selecting a lower version say EHP6 and try to check if it generates the queue for ABAP as well.

Thanks,

Sowmya

Hello,

I am glad it worked.

I think this has been the recommended configuration for a while now. It is a hub system configuration , if that helps you searching for documentation.
