SAP spool print error on prodution server

Hi Experts,

We have production live system ECC 6.6 where print goes from sap continuously day night.

There are 12 users which printer attached to there system individually (no network printer)

Printer setting as below

Output device : LP01

Device type : SAPWIN Rel.4.X

Access Method: F: Printing on Front End Computer

Printer : _Default

There is issue while printing...some print going smoothly without error and some in error.

Users are facing following errors (sp01 status)

1. Fatal error during processing

2. (SAP)LPD was started, but connection not possible

3. Consistency error: Invalid program status

There are 4 spool work process set in Profile parameter

Please advice the solution

Hello Devendra,

As Biborka's suggestion, method F is not supported.

Do you try to add addtional spool work process for front-end printing?

Hi Devendra,

thank you for your feedback. The "Consistency error: Invalid program status" means that there was an error transmitting data between the spool workprocess and SAP GUI. Adding more spool work process won't solve the problem - perhaps it's a temporary workaround, but the long-term solution is  in the SAP KBA 2033662 which I have mentioned previously.

Could you check SAP KBA 2033662 - Spool Error "Consistency error: Invalid program status" ? This describes the long-term solution.

Hi Devendra,

Have you tried to use access method G for frontend printing as per suggested SAP KBA 2033662 and SAP Note 821519 ?

Straight, i would check with latest SAP GUI versions 730 or 740 with use of access method as G instead of F.

2. Try to run "Consistency of Spool Database" check in transaction code SPAD. I
