Mass change of auth. profiles

Hello All,

I could not find information in the forum.......

Is it possible to change several auth. profiles of auth. roles?

For example: in all roles that begin with Z*.... to add a new transaction in S_TCODE object.

I know SU10 for mass change of users, but I guess profiles are more complex.

Is there a similar transaction for auth. profiles?

Hello ilian,

Don't think its possible using any standard transaction.

However, you could record an ecatt script to do the same, supply it with a list of roles to be modified and the transaction to be added.

But why would you want to do it ? Is it not simpler to create a new profile with that specific authorisations and add them to the users who need it ?

Thank you very much for your reply. Creating a new role is not OK for a single transaction I tried using LSMW, but I could not make it work.

After all I decided to do them one by one.

Lucky for me most of the roles were derived from a parent role, so I changed the parent role and regenerated everything.

Hello Ilian,

You mentioned 'for example' so I wasn't sure if it was simply a single transaction or multiple, so I suggested a typical resolution path.
