SAP Portfolio and Project Management 6.0 ds.gloss not permitted internal server 500

Hi all,

We have SAP ECC 6.0 system running

SAP Portfolio and Project Management 6.0

Windows Server 2012 Kernel 740 and 16.0.00.01

Problem we are having is when accessing a portfolio item and clicking on the additional information tab it dumps with

Internal Server 500 Error

ERRor: Webdynpro Exception : Tas <ds.glos* bunch of numbers> not permitted

From what I can see ds.glos is document splitting , we did not touch that. Secondly full st01 trace as well as browser trace with HTTP watch all indicates ok with no error yet it dumps. Webdynpro in question:

/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/rpm_item_details?

I have found a sap note related to this which was the fix for the same error on version SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 note

1603003 - Dump when using long text fields

The problem is intermittent for some users and consisten for others.

Hi guys,

The problem resolved with help from SAP AG.

The additional info tab that was creating the dump:

Internal Server 500 Error

can you

check whether you have any custom UI drop-down fields in the

Additional Information tab. If so, check that their tooltip does not

have a HTML tag which is causing the error.

there was custom fields assigned to the Additional Info tab one of the custom fields ZZ_WBS ELEMENT_NUM and is to be used to transfer a WBS element number to CRM so that a pro forma invoice could

be raised against this WBS element. The cause of the problem is the way that WBS element number data type (PS_POSNR) is defined; the data type that was used for the Custom wbs

element field had a conversion routine (ABPSP).

Problem is now resolved.
