Backup plugin for EMC Avamar?

We have a customer where we are running SQL Anywhere 12.0.1 who is asking about using their backup solution.  Here is there question:

Our new backup solution is EMC Avamar with Data Domain.  Most of the backups have a some sort of a plugin for databases to perform daily backups.  Our Oracle DB’s we utilize the RMAN plugin. My concern is the capability for us to backup SQLAnywhere database.

I was wondering if there is anything available for SQL Anywhere?

Hi Bill,

You should ask EMC for further clarification, but I believe the "EMC Avamar Client for Sybase" uses the same "Sybase" backup interface to ASE as it does SQL Anywhere, and they are compatible.
