Skip foreign key / check table for field BRAN1

Hi

We have a requirement to populate some value from custom table into KNA1-BRAN1 field without disturbing KNA1 table.

BRAN1 (Industry Code 1) field has domain BRACO and check table is TBRC.

I created search help and assigned it MDG web UI (thru FPM configuration). But Floor plan manager (FPM) is not allowing

that value. Error message is :

"The entered value not on the list of valid values" or

The value 021 is not a valid value in table TBRC.

We don't want to add any additional values in TBRC to skip this error.

Can I skip the check table validation and store some value which is not in check table TBRC ?

Hi,

this is not possible. You would create inconsistent master data which is against the basic idea of MDG: consistent master data across systems.
