Restrict User ID field Length in ARM

Hello,

Is it possible within GRC customizing, not WEB Dynpro,  to restrict the userID field to 8 characters as is the rule in our remote systems. We have requests coming from GRC for new users and users are entering userids that dont follows this rule and the auto provisioning is creating them in our systems.

Any information would be appreaciated

Hi Mark,

Go to the Web dynpro application for request submission in se80 under GRAC PACKAGE( dont remember the actual package) and check whether the field length can be adjusted from there.

If it is possible you don't need to enhance the application else take help from ABAPer for enhancement.

Madhu is correct.  Ask you ABAPer to identify that particular field in the Access Request, and they will be able to alter the attributes of the field.

As far as I know, this cannot be achieved directly and requires customization to be done Request Submission method in GRC.

Please work with your ABAPer.
