MESSAGE_TYPE_X with maximum session reached

Dear Gurus,

Regularly am seeing MESSAGE_TYPE_X with ControlFrameWork: Maximum number of sessions reached on the same user . Nothing happens when i go with my user id & opened maximum session . Please provide your valid suggestions how can i stop these kind of dump.

Hello Chandu,

If this is happening with only one user, then the issue could be with front-end.

MESSAGE_TYPE_X generally occurs when SAP GUI becomes obsolete.

Try updating the GUI to the latest.

Hi Pavan,

This is not for single user ..the same dump happening for other functional users as well.Basically dump occurs while running the  functional t-code(Eg..MD04 ) .

Gui patch level Will be the reason for this issue?

Plz suggest.

@Himanshu :  We are working on Linux with kernel version 741 & patch level  50 .

Hello Chandu,

MESSAGE_TYPE_X is likely kernel problem.

You'd want to update your kernel level up to latest version.

That'll solve most cases.
