Dear SMEs,
I have a scenario where I need to rename(no deletion, no migration) approximately 1 lakh existing user IDs to a new format proposed by client.Criteria is to change user IDs in all systems at a shot.
Landscape status is as follows:
- Products: ECC/R3,BI/BW, CRM,SRM,SCM, portals, HR, BPC, Sol Man,PI/XI/PO,MDM,NWDS,HANA, other non SAP products integrated with SAP.Also mobile applications are there.CUA is active and GRC 5.3 is also there.
- Integration: HR-->ECC. ECC-->BI,CRM,SRM,portal,SCM. BI-->BPC,ECC,CRM,portal, SRM-->ECC,MDM,portal.PI and solman communicating to almost all systems.All non SAP systems communicate to PI and Solman + ECC. There are specific non SAP products which communicate to BI,SRM and CRM
- Geographies:5 different geographies with each having individual landscape as well as over all connected landscape scenario
Requirement of change:
- Change user ID assigned in IT 0105 for all users.
- List of interfaces/programs/jobs where old user IDs might have been used and replace them with new one.
- List all objects/tables where old user ID might have been used and update the same.
- History and traceability of older objects/tables which might have been changed by old user ID and keep/build a map for same so that nothing is lost for audit.
Constraints of business:
- Purchasing workflow refers to exact user IDs.Business data should be aligned before making changes to user IDs. What will be possible impact? Will SAP by itself maintain connection between old and new user IDs? What will happen to business data that were changed/created with old user IDs?
- In SRM shopping cart, sometimes cart items remain active for months till it is closed. If user IDs are renamed, what will be the impactWhat is the best approach?
- Impact on plants and related users.
- What will be impact on FI data?
- What is possible impact on jobs?
- What will be impact on 3rd party applications and mobile applications?
- Will there be any impact on HR structure and related authorization? Also same goes for BW/BI authorization.
