Hi experts,
While creating a SWC , I see an option called production state ( with possible values as released , planned, developed , locked etc )
What is the use / significance of this?
Hema
Hi Hema,

These options will be used by SAP when they work with different product versions (They maintain these released, developed, locked etc), we don't normally use these options because we don't normally maintain the different versions of software components and we dont ship the products to some other company.
If you want to maintain different version of software components then you can give these for each version of software component whether it is actually planned or released or developed.
Generally you can choose anything if you dont maintain the versions of software components.

Praveen.
