MVT 651 versus MVT 655

Here at our customer we have a return process where standard MVT 651 is used. We want to have the option that goods, with quality, are posted using a MVT655.

At first we would like to create QM entries for this material, but the question is if this works when the system detemines a 651 movement. Is than automaticaly a 655used depending on the quality control parameter 06 in the quality view of this material?

Or is is better to modifiy the positiontype so, via the scheduling type, a 655 is defined via this.

Just to add one more point here. While doing return delivery and calling MvT 655 to use inspection lot origin "05", Inspection type "05", please ensure that "QM is Active" for this movement here.

Check which schedule line category you are using for Return Delivery. T-code (VOV6) ,in standard DN is used , Assign 655 movement type to that and Assign 05 movement type to that material. After that check your scenario.

Hi,

Mvmt 655 is required basically when you need the return stock to be posted into QI. For that, you first need to use inspection type 05 instead of 06 since 06 is not stock relevant.

Once you do that, you can define 655 in the schedule line category (probably in the return order type). I'm not so sure about the configuration setting about this so you have to see SD consultant for this.

Or else, you can use 651 (and it can be used for 06 ins type also), but using with 05 will post the quantity into Block stock and you would need to make further movement to transfer this from block to either QI or Unrestricted.
