Full text search on PLM Web UI

Hello,

  Full text search functionality in DMS with TREX solution , is working with SAP GUI. ( Original is checked in CV01N or CV02N )

  Same functionality is not working with PLM Web UI .

Is there any setting has to be activated for this.

  The search functionality in the backend works with KPro Indexing. Where as when the search is performed in the WebUI  it uses Enterprise Search . Thus I feel you have issues.

Hi SSB ,

  Thank you for response. Through PLM Web UI also we checkin Documents through KPRO into content server.

    So I was expecting KPro Indexing should work with WebUI.

   please correct , if I am wrong.

   You are right with point that  they are stored in KPro and Content Server. When search is performed  Backend calls KPro Indexing (Transaction SKPR07) for the Full text search , Where as when the search is performed on Web UI it uses Enterprise Search calls and thus search results are not displayed.

  Yes you are correct. Enterprise search can not give this Result. But I am searching in CV04N transaction.

  There I should find Documents for which Kpro Index is done.

  Do you mean that the documents cannot be searched from backend SAP  GUI as well ? Then there would be a problem with indexing it self.

Hi ,

Yes.  When I checkin Document in CV01N , then I can find in CV04N.

  But if I check original in PLM Web UI , then I can not find in CV04n.

  I assume that indexing will not problem as it is working in SAP GUI case.

   Indexing functionalities ( TREX ) are not called when Document is checked in through PLM Web UI.

  Where we can check these settings ?
