Hi,
I have a query regarding the allocation cycle.
Could somebody please enlighten me on the difference between KSU3 and FAGLGA13?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Regards,
Vinay
hello Vinay,
this transactions are totaly differents
FAGLGA13, as said Preeti is for new GL, but more it is for profit centers (based on GL accounts)
KSU3 is for cost center, internal orders or wbs (absed on cost elements)
Best regards
Tamim

Hi Vinay,
Allocation functionality is avaialble in Controlling & Joint Venture Accounting however SAP has introduced the Allocation within the new GL as part of ECC.
KSU3 is the Transaction code to display the Controlling - Cost Center Assessment Cycle and
FAGLGA13 is the Transaction code to display the Assessment Cycle in New GL
Cost Center overhead allocation (KSU5 that use Assessment Cycle that is created through Transaction code - KSU1 & displayed through KSU3) will post a Controlling document to transfer cost from sender cost center to the receiver cost center based on appropriate basis (may be fixed, percentage, SKF etc.). Cost center allocation can happen in the same profit center or across profit center.
However In SAP ECC, Profit Center Allocation has moved from Classic EC-PCA to newGL. In newGL you can allocate costs and revenues from one profit center to another.Basically New GL Allocation is just like how it was used to be in the Special GL Allocation and also EC-PCA Allocation. One of the new GL Allocation problem is the total of cost center costs will not tie up with the associated profit center costs.
Hope this clarifies.
Thanks & Regards
Subhasish
