Transport Management Tool

We are in the process of migrating from Solman 7.0 to 7.1 and would like to retain an approval process for transports being moved through the landscape.  In 7.0 we did this using bought-in software (Transport Management Tool).  What in-built capabilities are there in 7.1 to support the approval of transport requests and automatic transport through the landscape?

Hi Peter,

Solution Manager 7.1 offers multiple choice for transport management and based upon requirement you can choose the relevant one.

for e.g

you can go for Quality Gate Management which will automate the entire transport management across sap landscape ...similar to charm

ChaRM or change request management will help you to define complete change management for ur landscape with many more benefits
