Hello everyone,

We are an Algerian drilling company with a ECC6 SAP information system with 6 modules.

We are currently under study for the integration of BI platform.

Note: for our version EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 has two types:

1- SAP NETWEAVER 7.3 (Microsoft SQL Server)

2- SAP NETWEAVER 7.4 (Microsoft SQL Server or SAP HANA)

What is the best choice?

Hello Muhammed,

I can say that ERP 6.06 is compatible with both of them: NW7.3 or NW7.4 . Also I assume that your ERP 6.06 database is also MSSQL.

In my opinion, the best approach is choosing the latest one 7.4 but what the most important here is the opinion of your BW consultants. Ask once to them about their opinions, whether NW73 or NW74.

Hi,

If you hardware has capacity always go to latest route 7.4 if you are already running SQL Server stick with it. HANA is possibly great but also requires big hardware.

1. Check on your solution manager systems options you get for EHP upgrade stacks.

2. Check with your SAP account manager to assist with the queries on licensing options for you.

3. Project duration can be probably between 6 - 18months and even perhaps longer information provided is really insuficcient contact your account manager who would also recommend a SAP partner to assist if you have a project in mind.
