ECC 5.0implementation procedure on HPUX, oracle 9.2

Hi,

I need the procedure of installation of SAP ECC5.0,Oracle 9.2,ABAP,SR1 on HP-Unix. this is the first time to install sap on HPUX os. so I need ur help for commands, mounting directories and confiring and also step by step procedure.

0. get installation guide + relevant sapnotes (check inst guide!)

1. check prerequisites

2. install central instance using sapinst

3. install database instance using sapinst; during the installation process sapinst will halt, so you can:

4. install oracle software using runInstaller (oracle tool) -> better install oracle 10g...when finished

5. resume database instance installation

6. perform post installation steps (see inst guide)

Hi Andreas Herzong,

ok, Thanx for giving installation steps but I want how to mount directories and minimum how much space allocate each directories. dev server rx2660, raid 0+1, 273 GB HDD, ram 4 gb, os HPUX, QAS is also same but PRD is RAM 8Gb we ar using SAN for storage ie 8146 GB Blade RAID 5 I am giving some informations to ur reference plz give me detailed installation process from the begining of give some reference documents u have except installation guide I hve that.

this is all covered in the preparation guide (filesystem sizes, how to mount those etc.)

Hi

The installation guide for usage type ABAP is available under

Left

service.sap.com/instguides --> Sap Netweaver 2004 --> Installation

In right screen, choose Default view --> choose SAP Web AS

in this option select WAS 6.40 SR 1 documentation

You can choose here,

your database (oracle)

and then

Part I: Planning and Preparation

Part II: Installation and Post-Installation Activities

You must have an user id to access this however
