IDM + Method to get SAP-User-ID with access via external User-ID

Hello,

we have an external Identity-Provider called "IDP".

We want store the external User-ID from "IDP" additional to SAP-User-ID in SAP IDM.

Is there existing a method which we can access with the external UserID to IDM and the the IDM get the SAP-User-ID back?

Hi Oliver,

you can use VDS and search for the user by that attribute with an LDAP call or you make use of the REST api where you also have the possibility to search. Depending on what the external tool you want to use is supporting you can choose but easier way would be the REST api as you could use the default search task.
