underlying SWC in ESR

Hi All,

It seems that if i add a SWC  B in the "underlying swc section " of SWC A  then I do not need to define dependency between the two in SLD

Is this true ? As i was able to access the objects of SWC B in SWC A even without creating depenedincy in sld

Hi Hema,

Dependency ideally should always be added from the SLD and then it will reflect in the underlying SWCV tab. What you have done will work but is not recommended as it will require an edit of the SWCV and might not reflect correctly in further systems(where the transport is done)

but even if i create the sld dependency first ..i still have to add the swc in "underlying swc version" in ESR otherwise it does not work...it does not appear in the "underlying swc version" automatically is what I noticed

Ignore what I said, Praveen's step below is the correct one - I forgot about it (oops... apologies)

You just have to clear the old SLD cache.

Environment -> Clear SLD Data Cache

Hi Hema,

After you create the dependency in SLD then you need to do it like below screen shot in ESR.

Praveen.
