development for SAP J2EEEngine 6.20 / JBuilder?

Hello,

i need to know what tool can be used to develop java applications for j2ee engine 6.20.

I think it is the JBuilder with a special plugin...

Can anyone tell me wheter this is right an where i can get it.

Hi Andre,

I think you can also use Netweaver Developer Studio.

I think it is part of WAB AS Java 6.40. If you download evaluation versions from SDN, this should be included with that.

Hi Sanjeev,

The Developer Studio produces J2EE 1.3 compatible EARs, whilst J2EE Engine 6.20 is J2EE 1.2 compatible. Therefore, it's not possible to use the Developer Studio for Java development for the J2EE Engine 6.20.

That's correct, the tool is JBuilder 5.0. The plug-in is available in your <J2EE Engine installation directory>/tools/JBuilderPlugin. For more information how to install and use the plug-in, see the Development Manual -> Developers Tasks. You will find the manual in the /docs directory.
